Special guest dancer and master teacher, Katerina Albertini Voulgari, from Athens, Greece, will join Rene and his company dancers to perform solo numbers that showcase her extensive knowledge of flamenco palos (forms) including  Soleares, Farruca, and Seguiriyas. Katerina has studied with some of the world’s best flamenco dancers in Spain. Since 2006, Katerina has had her own flamenco school and studio in Athens, Greece. Katerina will also be teaching a master dance class, hosted by the René Heredia and the Flamenco Center for Guitar and Dance on Tuesday, February 12 & Wednesday, February 13, 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Space is limited. For more information and to sign up go to Flamenco Master Class.

About Maestro Heredia

René Heredia in concertMaestro René Heredia is from Granada, Spain and is a direct descendant of the gitano flamenco puro tradition as passed down to him by generations of his gypsy family.

He has performed with the greatest flamenco artists of his time including Carlos Montoya, Carmen Amaya, Sabicas, José Greco, Paco de Lucia, and many others.

As a performer, teacher, choreographer, mentor, and recording artist, Maestro Heredia is credited with bringing flamenco to Colorado and has received numerous awards, including the Governor’s and Mayor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts.
